Technical Sponsor for Skyward Experimental Rocketry – Polytechnic of Milan
For the third following year the team participated in the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC), a competition organized by the Portuguese Air Summit, presenting itself with GEMINI, the association's first rocket with a hybrid propulsion system.
For the realization of the project we supplied bakelized paper tubes, a phenolic resin composite material with good thermal insulation properties, which have the function of protecting the aluminum container of the FURIA hybrid engine by resisting the extreme temperatures that develop during combustion .
Despite the technical unexpected events that occurred during the competition, which led the team to suspend the flight, Skyward won the Technical Award, i.e. the prize that recognizes the best technical report, demonstrating the ability to clearly document the complex technical system designed by the team.
It is always a source of pride for us to support these realities, made up of young talents who, in addition to their teaching careers, dedicate themselves to ambitious projects like this, organizing themselves independently to face the most complex challenges together, demonstrating fantastic teamwork!
