La Misolet specializes in the processing of thermal insulating materials and electrical insulating materials. These materials have a particular layered structure that requires specific skills and expertise to work with. We also deal with plastic polymers and technical materials for industry.

Bakelite
Bakelite is a thermosetting polymer that belongs to the family of phenolic resins. These resins are bonded to an inert support, such as kraft paper or cotton fabric, and polymerized to create a single body, which loses the characteristics commonly associated with plastics.
We perform mechanical machining on drawing and blanking on bakelite cloth and bakelite paper. These materials are also available for sale in panels or sheets with different dimensions and thicknesses, depending on whether they are phenolic cotton or phenolic paper.
Vetronite
Vetronite is a composite material based on glass fibers and resin. There are different types of electrical insulation in this group of materials: polyester glass, epoxy fibreboard, melamine and silicone glassware. They all also stand out for their excellent thermal and mechanical characteristics.
At La Misolet we carry out mechanical processing and direct sales of sheets, tubes and rods.
Heat-insulating materials
To achieve good thermal insulation in industrial applications it is necessary to choose the right material, which will have not only high resistance to high temperatures but also excellent mechanical characteristics.
We offer different choices for thermal insulators based on the required use: You can opt for cement-based materials, or epoxy resin or mineral-based ones. We are experts in the creation of custom-shaped parts, as well as available for sale in rigid or flexible sheets, tubes and rounds.
Technical Materials
We offer and process numerous special materials, mastering the technical knowledge and knowing the possible uses of each of them.
We offer the mechanical design service on: Vulcanized Fiber, Formex GK, Nomex, Mylar and Presspan Electron.
Plastic Materials
La Misolet is also able to process thermoplastic materials thanks to the support of specialized technicians and the availability of CNC machining centers and a large blanking department. We are also equipped for hot and cold bending.
We carry out mechanical processing on Polycarbonate, ABS and DERLIN (POM) as well as on the following polymers: Nylon PA66, PVC, PEEK and Teflon (PTFE).

Mechanical machining based on drawings
We specialize in the mechanical machining of components based on customer designs. We can produce samples and prototypes for a new project, but also thousands of pieces for consolidated applications.
We apply CAD technologies to insulating materials to give shape to your ideas, for the production of small batches, but also thousands of pieces.
Shearing
We deal with cold blanking on different types of laminates: bakelite, fibreglass, and heat-insulating materials, as well as technical materials and plastic materials.
Punching is one of the techniques we use to impart a plastic deformation to the material with a die and punch, which leads to cutting and shaping of the component.
We also create cutting molds to carry out these processes, which cut the material based on the shape and pre-established characteristics of the piece to be made.
Cut to size and calibration
For the cutting to size service we have chosen maximum precision, which we can guarantee with the use of latest generation panel saws.
We complete the offer with the service of calibrating and rectifying the thickness of the slabs.
Thanks to our operators specialized in the use of CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software, we apply the nesting program to optimize the use of the plates and avoid waste of material.
Assembly
Upon request, an assembly service for particular products is also available, both with insulating components and with the insertion of metal materials such as screws, pins and bearings.
We also offer the bonding service between materials of different nature, masterfully dealing with the concepts of adhesion and cohesive force in adhesives.
Direct sales
For direct sales we select only high-performance, certified materials that fully comply with European standards, such as insulating panels in vetronite and bakelite.
The materials are available in stock in sheets, rounds, coils and strips. Also offered are tubes, angles and profiles, which are supplied only to order.
