Insulating and heat-insulating materials

Depending on the application and conditions of use, there are materials and insulating panels of different types in terms of characteristics and use.
Unlike the world of construction, we use products based on special epoxy resins, such as Misoglass1, but also mineral-based materials such as natural Mica, continuous Mica and Micanite flakes which are used in the thermoelectric sector.
We also have cement-based products, to replace asbestos products, such as Misotherm, for thermo-mechanical applications up to 1000° C.
These materials are capable of reducing the heat exchange between the inside and outside of machinery, systems and engines.
The insulation can be made with rigid or flexible sheet materials, pipes and custom-shaped details. To find out the formats available for each material, ask our staff.

Not Muscovite

Muscovite Mica laminate is born from the use of this particular family of minerals belonging to the phyllosilicate group. The rigid sheets are gray in color and are particularly suitable for use in high temperature conditions.
The sheets are made with multiple sheets of material and the thickness of the sheets can be up to 80 mm. Muscovite mica is also free from asbestos and is also produced to order in flexible sheets and tubes.

Sheet dimensions (mm):
1200 × 1000
2040 × 1016
2400 × 1000
Thickness range (mm):
by 0,1 to 80
Home - Misolet

Property

Muscovite Mica has among its properties that of thermal resistance up to a temperature of 500°C with peaks up to 700°C. We are also talking about an excellent electrical insulator, with mechanical resistance and resistance to compression. It is also impervious to most chemicals, especially oils and greases.
