Phenolic resin is the one from which the thermosetting polymer called bakelite or more commonly bakelite originates. The starting resin is obtained from the polycondensation of phenol and formaldehyde.

Bakelized paper is a layered insulation, composed of phenolic resin and sheets of paper. This material is used for dielectric use, which both panels up to 3 mm and higher thicknesses possess. The latter are mostly used as supports in electrical panels, spacers, separators and covers, while the former are more suitable for shearing.

Canevasite F18 V0 HF is a high pressure laminate for mechanical and electrical applications, produced in compliance with the DIN EN 60893 Standard.
It is also rated V0 under the UL-94 flammability standard. This means that combustion stops within 10 seconds on a vertical piece, leaving droplets of non-flammable material.
This material has high mechanical resistance, stress, abrasion and wear. Thanks to these characteristics, Canevasite extends the period of use of the machines in which it is used, with consequent cost savings.
